Inspiration
Not many people have the time and resources to get first aid training. This makes it possible to prepare for an emergency from the comfort of their home.
What it does
a hub world with choices for modules covering different first aid topics. each training is a self-contained course that will impart practical knowledge for each medical emergency.
How we built it
We developed the app in Unity written in C# and uploaded it to Side Quest.
Challenges we ran into
The challenge we ran into was having difficulties merging different scenes in GitHub. One of the scenes had a problem triggering something but ended up working using rigid motion.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to design, build, and animate a nurse and patient avatar that the trainee can follow to learn the proper form for CPR.
What we learned
We've learned about the deeper aspect of GitHub when it comes to pushing and pulling different scenes we create from Unity for each individual to work on different things which is not common.
What's next for HeartSaver
We're planning to add more modules, to continue educating people on first aid in a simulated environment from the comfort of their homes. We would also like to experiment with VisionOS and integrate HeartSaver onto Apple Health/Fitness for the Apple Vision Pro Headset in order to:
• Leverage HealthKit APIs to track user progress and provide personalized recommendations for user improvement
• Utilize the Apple Health app's dashboard to display CPR training metrics, such as completion rates and proficiency scores
• Use the headset's 3D spatial audio to simulate the sounds of a real-world CPR scenario
• Guided CPR training sessions, led by our virtual AI instructors with interactive 3D models to illustrate proper technique
• Multiplayer training scenarios, enabling users to practice CPR with friends or family members in a shared VR environment
