Harmony Scheduler – AI-Powered Restaurant Staff Scheduling in 3 Days.

What happens when a single human, ChatGPT, and Bolt team up with one goal: to build a real scheduling solution in under 72 hours?

Harmony Scheduler is an AI-powered staff scheduling app designed for restaurants, created entirely during the hackathon. It handles shift preferences, coworker compatibility, and availability — and even lets managers notify staff via email or AI phone calls.

But this project is more than features. It’s a testimony to what’s now possible:

The app doesn’t just build schedules — it builds workplace harmony by allowing staff to choose who they work best with. Because happy teams aren’t just efficient — they’re essential.

This project proves that with the right vision, even a solo developer can bring bold, beautiful ideas to life — fast.

What it does

It allows workers to prefer "buddy" to work with. It also provides ways to swap to other workmates on their own dashboard. All is scheduled by AI so schedule is done totally impartial to the workers

How we built it

Built totally in Bolt and Chatgpt and Retell AI and Make.com

Challenges we ran into

Due to RLS policy within Supabase for greatest security of our data to allow an employee to select another employee represented conflict in how we desgin the security of our database. This is one of the most challenges we ran into. It took a big chunk out of our 72 hours project allotted time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am very proud to be part of this personal experiment. With determination and an idea I can accomplish with the help of 2 copilots in 72 hours. This application would take at least 6 months or more to accomplish the usual route.

What we learned

Anything is possible with complete focus and determination and help of AI programming capabilities.

What's next for Harmony Scheduler

I would like to see Harmony Scheduler to be used by many mom and pop restaurants.
