Challenges, accomplishments and what we learned

Our team participated in SYNCS Hacks as 5 first year first semester students. Thus, we don't have enough experiences and technical knowledge and it's so difficult turning our ideas into a real working application. But during the Hacks, we have tried to learn new things, somehow we manage to finish and built the prototype which can briefly demonstrate our design. We have went through a cycle of setting up, configuring, building, deploying and fixing errors together as a team. We can proudly say that we have had a clearer insights about our career path and valuable experience.

What's next for HangMan?

The original idea of HangMan is a social media specialized for groupworks and enhancing collaboration experience, irrespective of distance or language barrier. While core features will stay the same, they will be better for online cooperation. Each member can create their own account and host / join groups of other users, which is faster and easier for workers to connect with the employers. Each group have all the tools they need for smooth remote collaboration: real-time sync whiteboard and group notes system for members to share their perspectives and develop ideas together; roles system for the managers to classify each member skillset for future projects planning, prevent important group notes which is only visible to certain roles, which have permissions from managers; an account customizable status system for every member in your group work to know if you are available for work or you are on vacation and a translator tools to translate notes, announcements and whiteboard writing into different language, making it easier for workers from other countries to keep up with their team progress effectively.

HangMan is the type of tool people need for the future of workers where we standardize the diversities in people, remote working and gig economy.
