We made a Halloween safety website for first time trick or treaters! For this site we used HTML & CSS. One page has a option for 2 buttons which are "treat" & "trick", when treat is clicked a compliment is displayed and when trick is clicked a joke is displayed on a new webpage. There is another page which has safety tips for trick or treating. One of the challenges we ran into was that originally we planned to use JavaScript so that when the user clicks on the trick or treat buttons, it would stay on the same webpage & display a new compliment/joke each time it was clicked, however the code did not work as intended, and to save time we had to stick to using only HTML & CSS, and we could only display 1 compliment/joke. We are glad that we were able to overcome the challenges we faced, and find a way to improvise on our original plan, & build a website in our first hackathon!
