Inspiration

In the age of COVID-19, it is important for all of us to wear face-masks. Masks and face coverings can prevent the wearer from transmitting the COVID-19 virus to others.

Looking at the importance of wearing masks we wanted to provide a solution that uses cutting-edge technology to detect people who are not wearing masks.

What it does

We developed a web application with 2 steps approach.

Technical aspect- Backend:

Maskerizer detects and localizes face masks on human faces in a still photo using an AI custom model. The model determines whether the humans in the frame are wearing face masks.

Frontend- We developed a web page that gives it the potential to be deployed in a wide range of places like commercial places, community centers, hospital wards, etc. It provides live status to users' reference to COVID-19 and provides a community to the network via a blog.
