We thought of creating a world where people love their work and what they do. At the same time, companies can find perfect candidate for their organization

Recommend best candidates to the organization who are "Best Fit"

How we built it

Data Mining and NLP(Natural Language Processing) is used.

Challenges we ran into

Real-world data. A lot of processing is required. Lack of hardware capabilities

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have our own engine now. And we don't care whether we are gonna win or loose. Period

What we learned

We can code for straight 36 hours.

What's next for hackaz

More improvements required. With more capabilities and features, we will pitch it to investors in future.

I worked specifically on Backend of the project. I was responsible for parsing the data and writing a code to perform Natural Language processing and Machile Learning to analyze the data,calculating TFIDF, keyword features etc in order to calcualate percentage fit for the employee in each category (e.g Leadership, Team player, Confidence etc.) .

I worked on the Back-end part. I implemented the infrastructure like Django, MongoDB and other Machine Learning libraries for CandyFit.
I wrote the controller part of the CandyFit. Along with that, I implemented a module for calculating the sentiment score of the job seeker using Scikit-Learn, NLTK and Scipy, .
Technologies Used: Django framework, Python, MongoDb, D3.

Worked on data collection and feature building. Wrote a crawler to download thousands of cvs from various websites. Worked on feature building on top of collected data. Experimented with various approaches to find similarity between company goals and candidate resumes.
Technologies used : jsoup, boilpipe, mongodb, scikit, python.
