HackathonTextAdventure
As this was our first hackathon and first time intensely programming in general, we decided to try a bread and butter program for any new programmer to develop: the text-based adventure.
With ours, we decided that it should be able to be customized to the developers fitting through the files read, and we settled on building just a bit of a simulation at first. While we thought we might be able to implement items, dialogue, combat, and the such, we didn't end up having enough time to complete our original goal. Instead, we tried to at least get map movement and a small set of commands working
While extremely rough with plenty of opportunities for improvement, this project has helped us develop our programming skill base and knowledge even further.
