Habitat Singapore -- Data Visualization website

This is a prototype for a website that aims to engage the public about the need for decent housing worldwide.

Inspiration

Our group aimed to create something that allowed for audiences to understand at a glance the severity of the housing situation globally. This is in line with Habitat for Humanity's goal of eradicating poverty housing.

What it does

Using different data visualization techniques, we aim to create a website that can tell a story with the data available, and in the process, effectively engage the public on the severity of the issue and provide avenues for the public to help

How we built it

Using python libraries and Jupyter Notebook, we managed to do data visualization techniques on data sourced online. We had to impute and clean the data before it could be used.

Challenges we ran into

Cleaning and managing the data received from different sources can be difficult
