Inspiration

We were inspired by the Sun-Life challenge. As students who initially were not very familiar with finances, we thought that we would make a website for people like us who might be confused about inflation and how it might affect their financial situation.

What it does

This website informs users who are not necessarily familiar with finances and inflation about how inflation might affect different areas of their life in the near future as a FAQ format. These areas include student loans, vehicle lease and commute, and mortgages.

How we built it

We built our website using the Angular framework

Challenges we ran into

We wanted to make our website as user-friendly as possible. It was difficult to make our website resizable for all screen types.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the overall look and UI of the website. In particular, we are very happy with our Bing AI generated images on our landing page.

What we learned

In the process of making this website, we learned a lot about inflation and how it affects different areas of our life.

What is next for Hack-a-bunch

Some future ideas for the website might include having a page listing financial terms for people who are unfamiliar with such terms. Furthermore, we wish to expand our website to include other pages that describe the impact of inflation on other areas, such as daily expenses (e.g. groceries), economic growth of the country
