Inspiration

To study effectively, you need to know what to study. So if you know friends, family members or tutors who have experience with course material, you can always walk into class prepared. But often, others don't have access to these things.

What it does

GunnNotes is a crowdsourced platform to host notes for gunn classes. AI tools use these notes to generate custom study guides and practice tests.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

We built a frontend and we built a backend, but we struggled to connect the two. We switched back and forth multiple times from flask to streamlit; eventually we decided on streamlit to build our final product.

For the OpenAI API, we had some serious issues getting the API key to work; eventually, though, we got it done.

Our future goals include making the platform more interactive for the community. We want to add features like comments and rankings of open-sourced notes.
