Inspiration

The theme is activism and social good and I wanted to do a website on gun control and how to lower gun violence. I was inspired to do this because I have always seen gun violence as an issue, and most recently have seen attacks against the Asian and Pacific Islander community. I really wanted to bring awareness about gun control as well as provide resources so that people can help.

What it does

This is an informational website. People could share this website in order to bring more awareness to this issue. This is a simple website in order to be accessible to everyone.

How we built it

I used Replit to code. I started off by researching so that I had everything I needed in one place then I plugged everything in with html, then I formatted everything using css.

Challenges we ran into

One of the challenges I faced was making the website collapse for a mobile view. But I was really proud when I was able to do that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting everything to collapse and look good in mobile view.

What we learned

I learned a lot more about gun violence as well as flex box which helped a lot with mobile view.

What's next for Gun Control Website

I would like to add a subscription box so that people can stay up to date with this information. I would do that by using javascript
