The baby's crying, OH NO! Is it serious? How do I know?
Taking care of infants is stressful. With a myriad of potential problems, parents need a go-to, safe, algorithm-based platform to ask questions
Guardian Guidance is a website built around a custom algorithm to empower all parents, including female and female-identifying professionals, especially those navigating new parenthood and career transitions. It offers private, data-driven suggestions to help users feel supported in balancing career and caregiving.
What it does
Our website gives the opportunity for parents to ask questions about their infants without the worry of privacy and data concerns. Based on the given question, our algorithm predicts the most likely cause of the problem. For example, if the infant has been crying and vomiting all night, our algorithm will use data collected from CDC to ask questions to the user till it reaches a certain threshold confidence. The top three most likely causes will be displayed at the end of the conversation.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
