Inspiration
Grivy was inspired by the growing concern about the impact of food waste on the environment. Witnessing the waste of perfectly edible food while many individuals struggle to access meals motivated me to develop a platform that bridges this gap. Grivy is built on the belief that innovative technology and community collaboration can transform food waste into an opportunity for positive social and environmental change.
What it does
Grivy is a food waste reduction app designed to connect restaurants, households, and local charities. The app enables users to donate surplus food, reducing waste while supporting those in need. It introduces an innovative XP-based system, where users can earn XP by offering surplus food. This XP can then be redeemed to claim leftover food items available on the platform. Grivy not only reduces food waste but also fosters a sense of community, creating a win-win solution for users and the environment.
