Inspiration

Our team comes from different places, and we often share stories about our culture and beliefs. We believe this form of dialogue has made our friendship stronger, and that it can do the same for others across different communities too. We want to combat racism at its root- ignorance. So, we are giving people the platform to learn more about different cultures and make new, lasting relationships along the way.

What it does do?

The website enables you to find cultural, religious, and community events near you. It also connects you with volunteers from the event, who can act as your guide.

How we built it?

Eventure was designed using Figma, and made into a website using HTML, CSS and JavaScript on Glitch. Most of the CSS was taken and adapted from the version on Figma. While the Glitch version is incomplete (in part due to technical difficulties and time constraints), the home and about us page have been fully adapted.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many technical challenges, especially compiling all our data to submit to DevPost. However, I feel our end result is well made.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of using managing Figma, as it was the first time we had used it.

What we learned

We learned how to use Figma and how to communicate well and effectively.

What's next for Green Team - Eventure

We plan to attend more Hackathons to improve our technical expertise.
