Inspiration

In our lives, we have noticed that teachers and other educators may use a lot of their precious time meticulously grading each student's work for every single assignment with multiple classes. Both the stress and time could be alleviated with a tool that seeks to do part of the job. After seeing the endless possibilities of artificial intelligence in the real world, we considered how it could be used in the world of education. In this case, how teachers and individuals who must grade pieces of media or literature can streamline the process?

What it does

This product provides feedback and creates graphs using artificial intelligence based on the gathered information from the given writing piece.

How we built it

We built this product by incorporating ChatGPT and having it analyze the media piece when given criteria to meet for the given assignment or prompt for each writing piece. Statistical information would then be pulled and displayed in the form of graphs.

Challenges we ran into

During the process of development, we have run into trouble incorporating our product through ChatGPT's AI and making frontend visuals that grasp the abundant amount of information given.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As a team, we are proud of developing a product that serves the purpose of streamlining the grading scheme in writing pieces that incorporate numerous technologies together to craft an accessible project.

What we learned

Throughout the duration of this event, we have learned and explored the intricacies of working with numerous different technologies as they were all set up differently from one another. By putting them together in a harmonious way, we realized the extent of potential technologies and tools like these have.

What's next

The future goals for our project would be to continue its development to strive for greater pointers or tips in picking apart each writing piece and moving further down the path of accessibility by making it easier to use and easy to implement with other apps. Additionally, the project could be made to have an upload button to further streamline the workflow as many teachers in YRDSB rely on Google Classroom with Google Docs as the primary method of document information.
