Inspiration

GourMeow puzzle inspired by various kitchens TV shows and desire to create slide puzzle which is fun and challenging at the same time.

What it does

The idea of the puzzle is to feed all cats in a restaurant according to their preference. To complete the puzzle player should find ingredients on the board and combine them on tiles corresponding to cat colour according to cat preferences.

How I built it

The puzzle is built with Flutter. All assets are hand-drawn by me in Vectonator tool.

Challenges I ran into

Creating board with colourful sections was quite challenging. I needed to create special algorithm for this purpose.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I was thinking a lot about an idea around non-standard slide puzzle, after brainstorming with my family I am proud of the idea we generated.

What I learned

I learned how to build various animated widgets with flutter and how add sounds to the application.

What's next for GourMeow

I am planning to add second mode which will be tetris-like and will make created puzzle even more challenging. After I will publish puzzle to Appstore and Play Market.
