Inspiration

The inspiration behind "GlanceValue" came from the need to provide a more interactive and visual way to represent player data in a game. We wanted to create a unique user experience that would allow users to quickly know the statistics of a team's players and make strategic decisions in real time during the game.

What are you doing

We are creating an extension for chromium-based browsers that allows users to view bubbles representing each player on the team, and clicking on a bubble displays detailed statistics for that player. This includes information about health, equipment, weapons, etc. The app also allows users to drag and drop bubbles for better organization.

How we build it

We built "GlanceValue" using modern web technologies. We use React for the user interface. We also integrated the "react-draggable" library to allow users to arrange the bubbles. The development was done as a team, where each member contributed their experience in UI design and development.

Challenges we encountered

One of the main challenges we faced was getting the bubbles to arrange themselves efficiently on the screen without overlapping. We also had to address performance issues when many bubbles were moving at the same time.

Achievements we are proud of

We're especially proud to have created an intuitive and visually engaging user experience for gamers. Furthermore, we managed to maintain smooth performance even with a large number of bubbles on the screen. We are also proud to have worked as a team and collaborated effectively to bring the project to fruition.

What we learned

During the development of "GlanceValue", we learned how to work with modern frontend technologies like React and how to address performance challenges in interactive applications. We also gained experience in designing user interfaces focused on usability and user experience.

What's next for GlanceValue?

In the future, we plan to add more features to "GlanceValue", such as the ability to follow specific players, create a real-time rewinder for the exact moment of each player's inventory, as well as player and team status and receive notifications on real time about important events in the game. We are also exploring the possibility of expanding our app to support multiple games and platforms, which would give users a broader, more personalized experience.
