Inspiration

This came from a personal need. As a developer, I needed a better way to represent my own work, and wanted to help others do that as well.

What it does

It gives developers a more intuitive way to show off their GitHub projects.

How I built it

I used ReactJS to build this project.

API request limiting during development

Getting a user's email without using authenticated requests requires some creativity.

What I learned

GitHub's APIs are super open and can provide a lot of data if used correctly.

What's next for GitHub Portfolio Builder

Adding additional customization options, and extending the personal information provided.
