Inspiration

We were excited

What it does

GirAFFE analyses and minimizes the average wait time for all commuters so that they can have a positive start to their day.

How we built it

There were 3 big components in building this project. Finding an appropriate algorithm to calculate the minimal wait time, coding and heavily testing on railway system on Python 3, and creating a unique visualization of the code

Challenges we ran into

Difficulty setting up GitHub environment. Testing and debugging computed algorithms Transfer of inputted data into a .csv file

Creating a tester that calculates wait time accurately. Finding an optimal algorithm to minimize wait time Setting up a beautiful visualizer

I co-developed the algorithm to find the minimal average wait time. I also helped with developing the code on Python3, as well as the visualizer.

I worked on the visualizer which was implemented using the pygame library. I also helped in the development of the algorithm and the tester. I learned a lot about developing with a team.
