We are all first-year students who live off-campus and discussed our treacherous journey to get to the hackathon. Late buses, traffic and getting ready in the morning. We all thought how great it would be to make that process easier. Inspired by a scene in the movie ‘Clueless’ we further built on the idea of automating picking an idea, to automating your whole morning, so you can start your day just a bit smoother. Get Me There makes picking an outfit for the day and choosing what to have for breakfast so much easier. After entering pictures and descriptions of your clothes and selecting items for an outfit, Get Me There advises you on whether this outfit is weather appropriate based your location, stylish, and appropriate for the style you have selected (e.g. business casual, sporty). After finding a good outfit, you can even post it to the community to share with your friends! Additionally, you can enter which items you currently have in your kitchen, and Get Me There will suggest different breakfast ideas according to your input. While we didn't have much experience with such projects and therefore had to face a slight learning curve, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of developing something from scratch and seeing our project come to life.
