Get A Job!

Inspiration

We got the inspiration for this project from this project from ourselves as we are also college students and are in constant need of money. The best way to do that is by doing freelancing, but the biggest problem in that is, we are not able to find jobs that match our skillset. So we decided we need a app like this.

What it does

Basically, it helps the college students find part time jobs based on their skillset, after they create their profiles, they can directly apply for the job that they find desirable. They can directly contact the person that is providing the job through the in-built messaging service and get more details about the job and other updates.

How we built it

We built it on flutter using dart and a number of APIs. It was a very long time of development for this app and we quite enjoyed the process of building it.

Challenges we ran into

The first major challenge that we faced is that we are very new to this field and are just starting out, so after thinking about the idea, we had to start learning about everything from the scratch. The most difficult thing for us was when we had to integrate the various APIs into the application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The accomplishments that we are proud of are when the app worked, it bought us such great joy that we can't describe into words, that was the proudest moment since we started to build the application.

What we learned

We learned a lot of things, starting from Flutter to integrating the various APIs into the application. We learned a great deal of things as we are beginners only.

What's next for Get A Job!

I think we would further refine this app as it has the potential to be something great. It needs to have a lot of functions that we will add in the future. and finally release it on playstore.
