Inspiration
AI is revolutionising healthcare. As a healthcare professional (medical doctor) passionate about technology, I felt the need to mobilise a team of technical people to help me build a platform that enables and assists medical doctors to accelerate the process of diagnosing patients
What it does
GenZ doctor is an AI healthcare assistant that helps both doctors and patients to understand the symptoms they're facing. Not to be a replacement for adequate and qualified medical attention but to give a good overview of a patients symptoms.
How we built it
GenZ doctor is built with React + Vite + TypeScript for the frontend using TailwindCSS/ShadCN for styling. On the backend, Express.js/TypeScript is used. The backend has Google Gemini AI and Perplexity AI integrations. The backend is deployed using Google Cloud Platform Cloud Run
Challenges we ran into
- New to perplexity AI integrations but the docs helped

- Being able to build a team with a medical doctor and software developers collaborating to build AI for healthcare.

- As part of GenZ doctor's roadmap, we plan on onboarding doctors for live telemedicine consultations
