Inspiration
People might buy a lot of food and forget to consume them or they cannot finish eating before the deadline.
What it does
Registered users can share their unwanted food or trade food (?); Targeted for lazy users - they can just take photos of the food and our app will magically generate relevant tags for the food items.
How we built it
React native. Also used Computer Vision API to make it look cool
Challenges we ran into
Debugging React Native Applications is notoriously difficult. WiFi connection issues resulting in hours wasted trying to debug issues which was actually caused by the poor WiFi. Had a hard time dealing with Firebase Storage on React Native

Make the app more complete by adding count down to expiry date and GPS location for exchanging food / giving food in the vicinity.
