Inspiration

Our Inspiration came from experiencing buying in-game tractions and wondering if there's a way to decentralize and have a place to post it.Also the video games industry won’t think is the black market.

What it does

Gamers can do in-game transactions on third party sites that’s validated by blockchain. For example, gamers can create or trade their in-game assets on the GameBit platform and either use it on their gaming ventures or sell it.

How we built it

Brainstormed ideas on creative applications of Blockchain Technology Came to a consensus on using Blockchain for a Third Party Video Game Exchange market Delegated a task to each group member Created a Gamebit token Created a website Formulated a pitch Uploaded pitch video to Youtube

Challenges we ran into

The challenge we ran into was getting the NFT contract running we spent most of the hackathon trying to troubleshooting solidity code. Also brainstorming blockchain idea that doesn't exist yet on net but still is relevant to us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a fully functional and working blockchain app Developing a website to present Gamebit Collaborating remotely

What we learned

We learned that blockchain is the fourth wave of the internet and soon everything will use some sort of blockchain in everyday life. Also how the inner workings of blockchain applications.

What's next for GameBit

Advance the gaming world to digital currency. We intend to get the video game industry on board with our project by giving 8% royalty everytime their product is exchanged. This can keep companies at ease with their products being exchanged and create trust with our site.
