Inspiration

We got our inspo from the NASA website for the space theme and travel websites that we love for the booking service!

What it does

Book your galactic adventure with your family or loved one to one of our 30 awesome locations around the solar system!

How we built it

We built it with NextJS and a local JSON file for our database.

Challenges we ran into

Finding enough content for 30 locations took a good portion of the project, but we ended up with some really fun and creative spots. Splitting the work up in a rushed environment was a challenge, but we did our best to be as efficient as possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were complete strangers about 15 minutes before the Hackathon kicked off, and we were able to brainstorm and whiteboard together to get a really solid project idea!

What we learned

This is both of our first Hackathon, so we got to experience that for the first time.

What's next for Galaxia Getaways

Would like to add more features, such as a more comprehensive booking panel, a possible chatbot assistant, and some more advanced CSS styling.
