We were inspired by other online study sites and wanted to make an aesthetically pleasing one to make studying more fun for users. Our project is a site where users can create their custom flashcard decks and study them easily, while also enjoying some relaxing and cute graphics. We used a combination of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to code the site, while using Procreate to create the assets. One challenge we faced was having a lot of ideas for the site, but not a lot of time to implement them. We had to be selective and intentional about which features we wanted to include. We're very proud of the user interface, because in our humble opinion, it's simply adorable. One of the valuable lessons we learned throughout this weekend is the importance of clear communication in team projects. Obviously everyone says it, but when communication is muddy, the project is much more difficult compared to when we are all together working as a team. We hope that FroggySlides can be further improved upon in the future with some features that did not make the cut this weekend, such as implementing an automated quiz generator for users to test themselves on the material in their flashcards.
