Inspiration
Frienditions is the solution to the "constant catch-up cycle." With long-distance friendships, we often spend more time catching up with updates rather than spending quality time together. By giving you and your friends regular opportunities to keep each other in the loop with what's going on in your lives, Frienditions helps you break the catch-up cycle and foster deeper, longer-lasting friendships.
What it does
Frienditions sets up a reoccurring newsletter for you and your friends. You'll get prompts to answer every week, every two weeks, or every month- at the end, we compile your group's responses into an edition of your newsletter, enhanced with colourful commentary and summarizations from an AI editor.
How we built it
The frontend was built with Next.js, Radix UI, and Tailwind CSS, and the backend used Firebase. We use Open AI's GPT 3.5 API to generate summaries and highlights for each edition of the newsletter. (I'm so sorry I'm the designer writing this at the last-minute, all my dev teammates are sleeping.)
