Inspiration
In the United States, going to the doctor is a luxury many can't afford, while in places with nationalized healthcare systems, people can go to the doctor, the only issue is can the doctor see them. In today's world, the healthcare system lets people fall through the cracks, especially when preventing devastating lifestyle diseases. To combat this we wanted to make an app that could help people identify possible lifestyle diseases they are more prone to developing and create an actionable, easy-to-follow plan, helping them take back years of their lives.
What it does
The consumer will input their lifestyle habits and medical history into a medical grade, and widely adopted questionnaire prompted by the app. After collecting such data the app will let the user know how likely they are to develop certain conditions and a 6 month action plan to prevent that condition from developing/progressing. The app will also recommend what the user should bring up with their doctor to ensure these symptoms are properly addressed and the current steps taken are in the right direction and in the right manner. The app includes a chatbot feature so the consumer can ask any such medical questions and the bot will answer along with trustworthy websites and the consumer can read, to further their knowledge.
How we built it
We opted for the "no code" option where we visualized the app's UX design in FIGMA. We designed a total of 38 different screens and an additional Workflow to create an interactive prototype!
Challenges we ran into
The team was unfamiliar with the FIGMA software so there was a mild learning curve, but after that was addressed, because of our fleshed-out idea, the development of the prototype was not too difficult.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the idea itself. If it is actualized, we believe it would provide tremendous help to the world, and help bridge the gap within the nation in access to medical care, helping people live longer and happier lives.
What we learned
How to operate FIGMA, but also the cybersecurity comment of the app, an aspect that often gets overlooked, our team spent a while deep-diving and understanding, ensuring the medical data the app obtains is kept safe.
What's next for Freakquency
Next, we hope to scale Freakquency through the development of technologies. Freakquency can create it's own heart monitoring software and blood sugar monitoring software to give more data for the action plan. Freakquency can also be implemented in hospitals and clinics to streamline the onboarding system.
