Hackathon Project: Addressing Housing Instability
Inspiration:
Housing instability is a global issue that affects millions of people, from rising rents and evictions to a lack of affordable housing. Witnessing the struggles of individuals and families facing these challenges inspired me to create a solution that not only helps people find housing but also provides them with the tools and resources they need to regain stability. Combining technology with a human-centered approach felt like the perfect way to tackle this complex problem.
What We Learned:
This project was a tremendous learning experience. Here are some key takeaways:
**User-Centered Design:** Understanding the needs of users facing housing instability helped me design features that are both practical and empathetic.
**Collaboration:** Working with teammates and mentors taught me the value of diverse perspectives in solving complex problems.
**Data Privacy:** Ensuring user data is protected while delivering personalized services was a critical learning point.
