About the App
This project is a basic Hello World application for Confluence, developed using Atlassian’s Forge platform. To build the app, I followed the Forge Novice Guide as part of the Forge Quest. The app displays the current user's username, the space key of the Confluence space, and the active theme (light or dark mode).
What We Learned from Using the Forge Platform
I learned how to use React to build Forge applications and how to interact with the APIs provided by Confluence. I also discovered how simple and effective the permission management is within Forge apps. Additionally, I explored the wide range of built-in UI components and functionality that the platform offers out of the box.
What Excites Us About Building with Forge in the Future
I am excited about how easy it is to customize and extend Atlassian products using Forge. The platform offers a seamless authentication process and straightforward API integration, which makes development much more efficient. I also appreciate the clear and manageable permission model. Moving forward, I look forward to building powerful apps tailored to specific needs and use cases.
