ForeverTech:

As my grandfather’s health deteriorated, I saw how he would either sit in the house or lie in bed all day. My family considered hiring a personal fitness trainer but, in the end, it was simply too costly. With the aging population in Hong Kong, I realized that this problem extended beyond my grandfather and founded ForeverTech, a non-profit organization specializing in using AI and technology to improve elderly’s lives. I led a team of four computer science enthusiasts to develop an app that features a MediaPipe-based real-time motion tracking function that gives timely feedback regarding user’s exercise posture. We also added a multi-player function for users to exercise with family and friends, and an optical character recognition function for the elderly to scan QR codes from food items to access nutritional information and obtain personalized nutritional feedback from an encoded AI chatbot.
