Purpose

There must have been times when you're hungry but don't know what to eat. You spend a long time looking through a list of restaurants on Google Maps or Yelp. Well, we bring you FoodPls - Tinder for Food. You start swiping the dishes that you're craving for, and we'll let you know the deets. No more thinking between Chinese or Italian. Just let your eyes and hands guide you!

Hackathon

We started out working on another project. It turned out to be very difficult to handle and manage video+audio capturing from the browser. We were about to give up at this Hackathon, and one of our team member joked about just make a "Tinder for Food" to several people. Most of them were very interested in the ideas, so we pivoted and started from scratch half way through the Hackathon. Despite the lack of experience in ReactJS among majority of the team members, our team was still able to pull together a working prototype of the idea. It was a great time hacking at TamuHack :)
