Inspiration
- wholesalers have loads of leftover produce while many families are struggling to feed themselves with increasing produce prices at the grocery store. This is a great way to lessen the amount of food that goes to waste while decreasing the number of hungry stomaches.
What it does
The FoodForFuel platform connects wholesalers who have leftover bulk produce with individual shoppers. Shoppers are able to purchase the produce at discounted prices and can save even more on their purchases when completing eco-friendly activities.
How we built it
Used react and HTML/CSS/js to build this application
Challenges we ran into
It was my first time using React, so using the documentation of React to learn the basics was definitely challenging.

What's next for FoodForFuel
In the future, we hope to expand to allow community members to trade or purchase produce or unwanted kitchen appliances from each other.
