Since the challenge was to use a public dataset for the public good, my team decided that we should help out the community with a web app that provides traffic safety information using a large dataset containing traffic accidents, their locations, weather, and time of day. By organizing the data through a database, we were able to relay back information to the user based on the inputted postal code.

Me and my team built the project using HTML, JS, and CSS, as well as Node.js, MySQL, Remote MySQL to host the database, and Heroku to host the website. We used Atom and Visual Studio Code as editors to write the code in, and Teletype for Atom to collaborate, as well as utilizing Discord to communicate.

Me and my team learned a lot during this project and are fortunate to have teamed up together. As described by one of my teammates: "It was a 24-hour crash course."

We faced many challenges, but they were all learning experiences.
