Inspiration

Chasing games (the ones with the cops trying to track you with their flashlight), Mario's boo enemy, and roguelike games.

What it does

You have a flashlight that has a limited battery supply. Find the key in each room unlock the door and stun ghosts with your flashlight. Don't get hit by any ghosts. Try to get as far as you can! Every few rooms, there is a battery you can pick up to get more battery supply. Every room you complete, a new ghost spawns.

How we built it

I used unity and c#.

Challenges we ran into

Ghost AI was challenging to make. The room generation was also hard to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making the rooms randomly generate and the flashlight mechanics.

What we learned

I learned a lot more about sprite masking and also randomly generated rooms. I also built my skills in unity.

What's next for Flashlight Escaping

I plan to add sprinting, more room variation, and better ghost AI.
