Inspiration
Covid caused us to lose out on school and the ability to study in groups, so we wanted to bring back the ability to do these group studying with a fun twist.
What it does
The Vue.js app uses both Firebase and the Agora.io API to store data and engage in video calls respectively.
How we built it
We used Vue.js, Node, JS, HTML, and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
Before the project, we've never worked with Agora or Vue.js before, which caused some trouble and also makes us proud to have achieved what we did in such a short amount of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have been able to learn Vue.js, Firebase, and the Agora API and be able to implement it into a webapp in 3 days.
What we learned
We learned about both new frameworks and APIs using Vue.js and Agora, but also how to work with databases and collaborate together as a team to brainstorm, prototype, and market our app.
What's next for FlashChat
Making the App more scalable is our next step as smoothening out the app into a more easy to understand tool. We're also interested in looking into AR technologies to put the flashcard on top of a user's forehead, similar to popular games like Heads Up.
