Inspiration

FixHub was inspired by a real-world problem faced by millions of people in the informal economy. Finding reliable service providers such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and technicians is often time-consuming and unorganized, while skilled workers struggle to find consistent job opportunities. I wanted to build a platform that uses AI to bridge this gap and make service discovery faster, smarter, and more accessible.

What it does

FixHub is an AI-powered Service Orchestrator that connects users with nearby service providers. Users simply describe their problem in natural language, and the AI automatically identifies the required service category, understands the context, determines the location, and matches them with the most relevant workers based on expertise and service area.

How I built it

I built FixHub using React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, and PostgreSQL. The frontend provides a modern user experience for both customers and service providers, while Supabase handles authentication and database management. The platform leverages AI-driven logic for problem categorization, service matching, and workflow orchestration. I designed the UI/UX, developed the frontend, structured the database, and implemented the core matching workflow.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges was designing an intuitive workflow that could accurately map user-described problems to the correct service category. Balancing a simple user experience while keeping the matching process intelligent was another challenge. Managing project scope and implementing features within a limited hackathon timeline also required careful prioritization.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud of transforming an idea into a functional prototype that addresses a real-world problem. I successfully built a complete platform with modern technologies, created a clean user experience, and developed an AI-driven service matching concept that has the potential to support both customers and skilled workers. Most importantly, I built a solution with meaningful social impact.

What I learned

Through FixHub, I strengthened my skills in full-stack development, modern frontend architecture, workflow design, AI-powered problem solving, and product thinking. I also learned how important user experience, scalability, and real-world validation are when building solutions that serve diverse communities.

What's next for FixHub

The next step is to integrate advanced AI models for more accurate service detection, implement real-time location tracking, add worker verification and ratings, enable in-app communication, and build a complete service management ecosystem. My long-term vision is for FixHub to become a digital infrastructure platform that empowers informal workers and makes essential services accessible to everyone through AI-powered automation. 🚀🤖🌍
