Inspiration

We wanted to bring the classic arcade game feeling to the realm of AR while utilizing the advantages of the Hololens to achieve an experience that can't be accomplished through any other medium.

What it does

The HMD scans the room and maps meshes to all surfaces. Asteroids, and sci-fi orbs bounce around the room, colliding with each other and the objects of the physical space. The user must be aware of the virtual objects and avoid getting hit.

Everything. None of us had ever worked with Hololens before and it would become quite aggrieving at times.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting physics to work properly! We also experimented with faux-ambisonic music that worked out quite well with regards to placing music in a virtual space that combines real-world and virtual-world sound sources.
