Inspiration
We were inspired by the Eye of God System by Ex-Google PM Bilawal Sidhu, who used AI swarms to capture large numbers of open-source signals and free APIs to create a 3D, minute-by-minute replay of Operation Epic Fury. This experience emphasised how a large number of signals can be compiled to provide a thorough breakdown of world events to help inform how they will proceed in the future. This, combined with the Economic Empowerment and Education track and our own experience investing, drew us towards democratising access to information by building an alternative to the Bloomberg Terminal for the layperson, to help them trade with greater confidence and bring them closer to a level playing field with the ultra-wealthy.
What it does
FinTrack is a Bloomberg Terminal for layperson investors: a terminal-style web app that brings together live stock data, top winners and losers, AI-driven picks, ticker search, stock-specific research, prediction-market intelligence, a demo portfolio, and a global ops map in one place. On the home screen, users can move between Data, Insights, My Portfolio, and Ops Map; on individual stock pages they get overview, fundamentals, deep analysis, Polymarket, and news views.
It goes beyond a standard stock dashboard by layering AI analysis on top of price data, sentiment, company research, supply-chain and geopolitical risk, and market-relevant real-world signals such as flights, ships, severe weather, and satellites. The app labels its market data as coming from Yahoo Finance, prediction-market data from Polymarket, and ops-map data from ADSB.lol, Digitraffic, NWS, and satellite feeds.
How we built it
We used a variety of tools including but not limited to Figma, Lovable and most importantly Claude Code. Claude Code was able to handle large chunks of tokens and context to build the backend endpoints as well as merge the codebases on a regular basis. The prototyping along with the quick pushing that Claude and Figma did together made us the level of detail on this project possible.
What's next for FinTrack
We intend to continue working on this product after today. We have both found the experience of working as a team on this project quite enriching and are considering submitting it to our respective universities for their startup incubator programs where we can further refine what we have developed today.
