We wanted to create something that could help people learn about finance by leveraging the power of AI. We also wanted our service to be as user-friendly as possible to make it accessible for everyone. Our service uses CapitalOne's Nessie API to store user's financial information and track expenses. With that information, we use Streamlit to produce helpful graphs that the user can use to analyze their spending habits. That information is also passed into an openAI API call which is integrated into the project to be a personal financial assistant to the user. The AI can offer financial advice and other assistance to the user based on their banking information. We were very proud of how we blended multiple API systems to create a single platform that integrates both well. Going forward, we want to analyze more financial data from the users other than just expenditures. We also want to continue to improve the UI and user experience.
