Financial Agricultural Resources Management (F.A.R.M) is a tool used to help farmers optimize their spending on resources that are more sustainable and cost effective.

Inspiration

What inspired us is the extreme scarcity of water in California combined with how much agriculture there is in the central valley, thus giving us an opportunity to help solve this problem.

What it does

Simply it is a budget calculator to help farmers compare and contrast various type of irrigation tools.

How we built it

We built our program using HTML and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into were the lack of clear resources for some of the information we needed. We wanted our program to be as accurate as possible to portrait the positives and negatives of the situation.

Another challenge we ran into was near the end where we had a large git merge conflict which took some time to resolve.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have made a functional program, may it need some refining work, it does the purpose.

What we learned

We furthered our skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScripting. We learned where we can find information for our demographic.

What's next for Financial Agricultural Resources Management

We hope to put more features and items so that the tool is versatile and helpful for our demographic.
