Inspiration

We always found it difficult to manage files when working or developing together, and sharing files with each other, especially when they exceeded the file upload size limit of Discord or iMessages

What it does

Flicker is an automated file management tool that integrates AI in order to be able to give text commands to do things in the file system. It also includes another tool we call 'flicking', which can easily send files of any size to other computers on the same wifi network.

How we built it

We used React.js to create the app, and used electron to turn it into a runnable mac app.

Challenges we ran into

Porting the app into something that could run directly on the computer with no other interference, and also getting file flicking to work seamlessly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are particularly proud of the file flicking system to send files.

What we learned

We experimented a lot with electron and learned how to effectively use it to accomplish our goals.
