Fight Club API

Inspiration

So, I love this movie 'Fight Club' by David Fincher. It plays with a lot of philosophical ideas. And I wanted to create something around fight club.

It's an API that gives you a random eye-opening quote from fight club.

We build it using MongoDB, nodejs, express, and we hosted the API on Heroku.

We ran into a lot of bugs because we were hosting our api on Heroku for the first time.

This is one of the first APIs that we deployed on heroku.

We learned a lot about how to GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE data from MongoDB using our API. And learned how to deploy apps on Heroku.

We're thinking about creating a beautiful user interface that, so, people could use it. We would create a discord bot that uses our API.

I worked on the intial workings on the api by adding the required get, delete, and post routes. Created a function to generate random quotes from the database. Created the schema, connected the api to mongodb and heroku.
