Inspiration
Farmoji was inspired from Farmer Lance who expressed the issues of communication and management in farming. His brother-in-law needs to manage approximately 800 acres of farmland along with many workers so it can be very difficult to effectively communicate and manage everything. We decided to create a website paired with a mobile app that allows the farmers to clearly understand what needs to be done with live updates and a clear map.
What it does
Farmoji is a website that allows the farm manager to see his/her workers on the map and tell them what plot of land they need to harvest, what materials they need to get, and where they should be at any given time. The workers can check their itinerary on the mobile app to know their schedule for that day.
How we built it
We used React JS for the website and React Native for the mobile app. AWS for data streaming and analytics.
