Welcome to The Farm!

Big Mama, the legendary boss of The Farm, is in a great danger. Why? The rumor says she can lay Golden Eggs with special powers. And everyone at The Farm wants a piece of the pie. For the last few days, all of the animals have been conspiring to make her fall. But only a few of them have the potential to defeat her in a duel. Let's see who are the contestants.

Balthazar loves helping others and doing the right thing. For him this situation is the opportunity to free his friends from Big Mama's tyranny. Balthazar is passionate and altruistic but can sometimes be a little too intense when he sees injustice.

Joe is an adventurer, he always wants to try new things. His new objective is to get his hand on a Golden Egg and be the first one to take advantage of its special powers. Joe is curious and very charming, which makes him very popular at The Farm.

Gary is the brain of The Farm, always thinking and analysing situations. Every animal of The Farm with issues comes to Gary for solutions. According to him, Big Mama is the source of too many problems and must be defeated. Gary is smart and creative but can sometimes be a little naive.

Philip is a born leader. His charisma and confidence make him the perfect commander to lead the rebellion. He wants to become the new boss of The Farm once Big Mama has fallen. Philip is inspiring and very good at strategic thinking but is very stubborn.

From Zero to Hero

For now none of them is strong enough to defeat Big Mama. The reason? They all are in their standard shape. In order to defeat Big Mama they first have to grow to their golden shape. Now you must be wondering "Ok but how can they grow to their golden shape?". Well that’s pretty easy, you just have to send your warrior to The Farm with a Strength Potion and he will come back stronger! First the warrior in his standard shape will grow to his bronze shape. Then send him a second time to The Farm with another potion and he will grow to his silver shape. Send him a third time to The Farm with a third potion and he will finally grow to his golden shape. Let's see what transformations your warrior can go through.

That seems pretty easy right? Well… It’s not. The Strength Potion is not always working as it should. Sometimes it works fine but sometimes your warrior will come back in the same shape. And since he drank the potion, you will have to find another one to make him grow. But that’s not the worst case scenario. Sometimes your warrior will shrink back to his standard shape! The Strength Potion is working differently with each warrior. Let’s see their characteristics.

Balthazar

Balthazar is the one with the highest probability of growth. But this comes with a price. He also has the highest probability of shrinkage.

Joe

Joe on the other hand has the lowest probability of growth and the lowest probability of shrinkage. This means that most of the time he will come back with the same shape.

Gary

Gary is the only one with the same chance of growing to his bronze shape, silver shape and golden shape. This means he has the lowest probability of growing to his bronze shape, but the highest probability of growing to his golden shape!

Philip

And finally: Philip. Philip is basically always in the middle. Never the best, never the worst.

The Final Fight

Now that you know everything there is to know to make your warrior grow to his golden shape, let’s see how you can defeat Big Mama. Hang on tight it’s pretty difficult to understand! Well… Not really. Just send your animal to The Farm with another potion and he will know what to do: kick Big Mama’s ass. But be careful. Once your warrior has been sent to the Farm, three outcomes are possible :

  • Your warrior defeats Big Mama. Congratulations, you made it! You are now the proud owner of Big Mama. Just know that your warrior lost all of his energy in this fight and will come back with his standard shape.
  • Your warrior ties against Big Mama. He will come back to you, ready to fight another time later.
  • Your warrior is defeated. He will lose all of his strength and come back with his worst shape: the standard shape. Sorry for your loss.

Once again, each warrior have different probabilities to defeat Big Mama. Let's see their characteristics:

Big Mama's powers

Congratulations! Now that you own Big Mama you can make use of her special powers... or not! Two options are possible for you. You can either keep her and show to your friends who’s the boss, or you can send her back to The Farm for her to lay 3 Golden Eggs. Each of these eggs gives you the right to buy a Uniq 15 minutes before the start of any launchpad on Ultra!

So what else could I tell you? Well first, good luck, you’re going to need it! And also good luck, because you REALLY are going to need it.

Oh, I almost forgot. Laying Golden Eggs takes so much energy that Big Mama will die after laying her eggs. Be aware that once you send her to The Farm she will never come back. So choose wisely.

Technicalities

Uniqs characteristics

400 warriors will be issued at the beginning of Farm Wars, this number is also the max supply. Warriors will be distributed as such:

  • 100 Standard Balthazar
  • 100 Standard Joe
  • 100 Standard Gary
  • 100 Standard Philip

1000 Strength Potions will be issued at the beginning of Farm Wars, this number is also the max supply.

The number of Big Mamas and Golden Eggs are not limited but their scarcity is guaranteed by the difficulty to get them and the fact that they can be consumed.

Uniqs prices

Each standard warrior will cost 100 UOS on the Uniq Marketplace and each Strength Potion will cost 15 UOS.

Smart contract

What is called "The Farm" is in fact a smart contract that has been built using Ultra smart contract technology. The smart contract has been tested and is ready to be deployed. It will be checked by the Ultra team before it goes live.

As explained in the description, send one warrior to the contract and one strength potion and he will grow/shrink according to the probabilities given above. If a warrior or a potion has been sent by mistake to the smart contract, there is a possibility to get it back at any moment, assuming that either the potion or the warrior was not sent to the contract.

Once both the potion and the warrior have been sent to the contract, 3 outputs are possible:

  • The warrior grows. The warrior is locked in the contract while the superior version of the warrior is issued or transfered to the player (depending on whether the correspondant Uniq is already owned by the contract or not). The potion is locked in the contract.
  • The warrior stays at the same shape. The warrior is transfered back to his owner. The potion is put on sale.
  • The warrior shrinks. The warrior is locked in the contract while the standard version of the warrior is transfered to the player. All of the potions used to grow this warrior are freed and put on sale.

This means that 3 potions must be locked in the smart contract for each golden shape warrior. This also means that there will always be 400 warriors available because for each higher shape warrior generated, one lower shape warrior is locked in the contract.

The same behaviour is expected for the Final Fight. The only difference is that if a warrior beats Big Mama, the standard shape version of the warrior will be transfered back to the player in addition to a Big Mama Uniq.

To obtained Goldend Eggs, send Big Mama to the smart contract and 3 Golden Eggs will be issued and sent to you. Then Big Mama will be burnt.

Originality of the project

Gamification: this project takes advantage of Ultra's smart contract technology to gamify Uniqs. This makes it more fun than simply buying and selling NFTs.

Infinite lifetime: this project was built to be infinite: once a player wins and chooses to get his eggs, he will lose his Big Mama Uniq and will have to start from scratch to get another one.

Multiple uses: this project Uniqs can be used as profile pictures, as art, or to play Farm Wars.

Scarcity: only one hundred of each warrior are available. Moreover, the high shape warriors will always be rare since there is not enough potions available for all the warriors to reach their golden shape.

Secondary market: secondary market will be important for this project since some players will choose to buy higher shape warriors instead of growing them themselves and others will try to make a profit by growing low shape warriors and selling them when the risk of shrinkage becomes to important.

Play to earn: the price of the Golden Eggs and the warriors on the secondary market will be close to the mean of the number of potions needed to get them times the price of a potion. Which is around 160€ per egg if a potion costs 5€. This means that if players estimate that the value of an egg is higher than 160€ people will be ok with buying it a little higher without playing the game while some other will play the game to sell it to them, making a little profit on the way. The secondary market will make it possible for some people to play to earn.

Utility: each Golden Egg provides access to a launchpad 15 minutes before everybody, which can be very valuable for competitive Uniqs sales.
