Inspiration

Our own experiences as HBCU students, and the challenges we have had trying to connect and stay in touch with mentors. We also took into account our experiences as international students.

What it does

Our project seeks to develop quality connections between professionals and students, and at the same time increase the number of students who have access to professionals ready to help them.

How we built it

We prototyped out application using Figjam.

Challenges we ran into

We could not build a working prototype because of the time limit.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We developed new skills, and at the same time, we managed to learn more about the opportunities and services that Odyssey offers for underrepresented students.

What we learned

Odyssey is a great platform that has great potential to help students, especially those from HBCUs. We loved the Hackathon because the ideas can be used to really make Odyssey a great platform for college students.

What's next for Ezinkulu

We are always looking for opportunities like these to help share our ideas about how we can develop colleges like HBCUs to help students reach their greatest potential.
