Inspiration
"For all the tenure of humans on Earth, the night sky had been a companion and an inspiration. The stars were comforting." -Carl Sagan. Humans interact with the night sky for guidance and connection which led to creating many myths about the night sky.
What it does
Illustration of the human experience of observing the night sky seeking for guidance & connection from the stars that are floating in a way that reflects an Arabian mythical love story about stars
How we built it
Style transfer using a Pre-trained VGG19 Model, upscaling using Waifu2x, morphing and video creation using Blender, Adobe Creative Suite. The Normal maps(Heights on the planet) & texturing & coloring are all from the AI outcomes.

It was a rich journey. Starting from the history of art. Then some AI and ML algorithms and how to use them to generate art theoretically and implementing them. Also, some important AI and ML tools and libraries.
What's next for The Night Sky
Adding more elements and details to the video. Training a GAN model instead of style transfer. Adding sound effects and interactivity
