ExecureIt

Inspiration

We wanted to help the world in these dire times of COVID-19. Many people have unfortunately experienced the direct impact of COVID-19 with their loved ones. As the vaccine for the virus starts to get rolled out, we hoped to ease vaccine supply chains to ensure that the vaccine is distributed efficiently throughout the world.

What it does

ExecureIt is a logistics manager that organizes and give an overview of all vaccines in within a country, sorted by locations, types and quantities of each vaccine.

How we built it

We utilised java with Gradle framework to build the basics of this project. We further took advantage of the google geocoding service to record the real-life location of places.

Challenges we ran into

Tight time constraint
Initially confused with the problem statement and had trouble deciding the direction of the project

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Integrating a web-based API into the java framework.

What we learned

Our team learnt how to use an API in java environment and to integrate it into our program.

What's next for ExecureIt

In the future, we will continue building ExecureIt with a graphical user interface with more features such as sorting locations with certain medication based on distance.
