Early stages

Inspiration

The Greater Mysteries of Eleusis have inspired me to write on the topic of Graeco-Roman mystery cults and this is an attempt to extend that project. I created this site and have a copy of my book, 'The Ecstasy of Graeco-Roman Mystic Religion' available for Amazon Kindle.

What it does

It is a work in progress that depicts the temple complex used for rituals at Eleusis outside of Athens.

How we built it

I used the Generative AI tools and was very happy with creating assets overall.

Challenges we ran into

Detail is difficult and the I do not have much game design experience. It seems like the size of the world might have overwhelmed my PC towards the end of the process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Marble columns are interesting although they should not be fluted according to the representations I have seen. I was pleased with the marble flooring, statue of Demeter, and general experience of creating this first version very quickly.

What we learned

Many of the UI components were excellent and the Generative AI tool was outstanding.

What's next for Eleusinia Temple Complex

The temple will get a roof and NPCs will be added. I plan to recreate the Hierophant-guided experience and also allow the world to be used as a meeting space. There was no Greek Theater structure at Eleusis but I may add one for group meetings.
