Event Hub

Inspiration

We intended to build a platform that allows users to create and manage events as simple as possible and in a fast matter . We wanted to build a platform easy to use in such a way that all age groups can benefit

What it does

It Allows users to create and manage events

How we built it

We build it using multiple technologies . Python,Javascript,CSS,Django and HTML . Html was used for the layouts of the pages , we used JavaScript to help with visual effects like transitions , CSS was used to style the pages and python which is the language the Django framework uses was used to prepare the project for backend integration

Challenges we ran into

While building the project we had bugs here and there also since the entire team is at school , two of the team members had to contribute less than what was expected because of unexpected school work . The contribution by the entire team was a lot to a point where school work did little to no harm

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have accomplished the project despite the challenges we faced and the time limit of the hackathon . We are also proud to have build a solution to a common problem

What we learned

Our soft skills have definitely improved as we have learnt how to work together as a team , how to communicate and divide tasks

What's next for Event Hub

Event Hub is a project which will be worked on in the future to include more features which will enhance the experience of users on the platform . It has the potential to be a startup should funds be available
